WHAT
WE DO

OUR WORK IN THE COMMUNITY.

We pride ourselves on being a fast response rescue team and are honoured to work in conjunction with all other Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation organisations and local vets on the greater Noosa Region.

We patrol the Noosa River, removing rubbish and fishing line in trees that frequently injure our wildlife.

We remove fallen or unused barbed wire throughout parks and other properties, where barbed wire is not necessary and is a major cause of animal injuries and fatalities.

We install temporary High-Vis Signage at wildlife hotspots to make people aware of the times and places wildlife are active or crossing roads to help avoid animals being hit by vehicles, whilst keeping drivers safe.

We educate and promote living with wildlife solutions, whilst focused on further learning and improving our own techniques constantly through rescue workshops and advanced training.

We also take the lead on innovative program trials; for example: humane feral animal trapping, barbed wire alternative programs and working with council to establish wildlife crossings.

Care

We operate as an Animal Welfare Charity primarily in the greater Noosa/Sth East Queensland Region for all animals (not only native wildlife) in need of rescue, care and assistance.

We provide the short-term direct recovery, care, first aid and transport of injured, sick animals or ‘at risk’ animals.

We assist with care and rehabilitation efforts for injured, sick or ‘at risk’ animals (fauna).

Animal Protection

We assist with habitat protection (flora) for wildlife (fauna) to limit risk of injury or sickness.

Environmental Education

We educate and conduct research regarding appropriate rescue, care and rehabilitation methods for injured, sick or ‘at risk’ animals

Anti-Cruelty Advocacy

We advocate for change in policy and attitudes towards animal cruelty.
